Editorial Policy

Last updated: 25 August 2026.

This website aims to be a trustworthy, long-term source of rheumatology information for patients in India. This policy explains how the content is written, reviewed, and kept current.

Who writes and reviews the content

Clinical content is written and medically reviewed by a qualified rheumatologist. Every clinical page names the clinician who reviewed it and the date it was last reviewed. We do not publish clinical information under a generic byline such as “admin” or “the team”.

Evidence and sources

Content is based on current, reputable evidence, including recommendations from bodies such as EULAR, the American College of Rheumatology (ACR), the British Society for Rheumatology (BSR), NICE, and national guidelines, together with high-quality medical journals. Key sources are cited on the page so readers can follow them up.

How we keep content current

Clinical pages are placed on a review schedule and re-checked against current guidance, not simply published once and forgotten. When guidance changes, the relevant pages are updated and the review date is refreshed. If you notice something that appears out of date or incorrect, please tell us.

Written for patients

Patient-facing content is written in plain language, aiming for a reading level that most adults can follow, while remaining medically accurate. The goal is to help people understand their condition, not to replace a consultation with their own doctor.

Independence and honesty

Content is not influenced by advertising or sponsorship, and the website does not carry paid promotion of specific products. We avoid sensational or self-promotional language, in keeping with the professional conduct expected of physicians in India. The website does not publish patient testimonials or reviews.

Corrections

If an error is identified, we correct it promptly. To report a possible error or suggest an improvement, contact the clinic at rutvizrheumatologist@gmail.com.

Not a substitute for medical care

All content is for information and education. It is not a substitute for individual medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment from a qualified doctor who knows your situation.
